I have had an issue for the last year or so on my rear locker. It's the original setup from factory, 2005 GU 4.8 auto with H233B diff, 3.5:1 ratio if I remember correctly.
So when activating the locker, driving straight forward and turning right, the locker stays engaged. As soon as I turn left, it disengages (light goes from solid to flashing on the dash). I'm certainly sure it's some worn dog teeth on the diff, but could there be any other cause?
Secondly, cheaper to replace the entire rear axle with a recon, or strip diff and replace, or leave as is and install a front locker instead and leave the rear for now? I would get it done one day but for over-landing, I have rarely used the locker over the years.
