Hi all,
My name is Joe and I look forward to using and hopefully adding to the forum. A friend of mine has just got a MQ or MK Nissan Patrol 1985 petrol and I am doing some research on a replacement alternator we are having a few problems with. The faulty alternator is not original and there has been a few modifications made in the wiring so i am having a bit of fun trying to track down what has been done and how to get the replacement alternator working. I am sure I will need lots of information as we sort out various things we want to do to the nissan.

The problem with the alternator was solved. The manufacturer got the exciter and sensor wires connected the wrong way and once this was fixed everything was ok. Thanks everyone for the welcome i am sure i will use the forum to get help and where possible provide input. Regards
