Hi all, looking at purchasing a 2010 GU 7. Car is in immaculate condition but has 287,000 kms on the clock. Took it for a test drive today and all felt good with no unusual noises etc.

Is it too many km’s??? Service history shows it’s lived in the country so no city stop/start driving.

Advertised for $18,490. My insurance quote gave a value of $22,900. My test drive couldn’t fault it. My only concern is the kms and the fear that something big might let go. But that could happen with any 2nd hand car I guess.

Maintenance history is key to these. They are robust vehicles, and will handle a lot thrown at them , providing it's been looked after etc....
There are a few of these ZD30 CRD motors around nowdays nearing or exceeding 300k. Most being country or long haul usage.

Yep my folks ZD has 370 still going perfect been towing everywhere over the land of oz. About to head off on another jaunt to WA and back, hoping it cracks 400 will be doing well for a ZD if it does. Comes down to a gamble of sorts many and not just ZDs fail early in life others trouble free for years.
