Hello,
My name is Andi, i am German and new to this forum :) I just bought a blue Patrol from 2001 that should accompany me on my tour through Austrlia.
I just noticed an issue with the central locking system and I would like to know if this is factory setting or custom.
I am only able to start the car when I unlocked it with the remote. I have a key to open the. At manually and start the engine/ignition and I have the remote control. But when I open the car with the key manually the alarm system turns on and I cannot start the car.
This can’t be normal. That’s why I could use some advice what to do about it. The remote control is in this case and IMHO a single point of failure and should just simplify opening the car. But it seems it is nessecary to actually start the car at the moment.
