Hi all, I’ve owned an 89 Maverick wagon for about 18 years now, still going strong on her original TD 42 with about 700k on the clock.

No longer my daily, I’m only just starting to mod a bit, she has been stock the entire time with about 6 years living in remote WA (Kimberley’s) and never had any issues, but we play in the mud here in Vic a bit so have just added 2” lift and am today shopping for some muddies to go under her, hence joining looking for some advice on sizes recommended.

The tyre question, one of several 'can of worms' questions. Big tyres = great looks, decreased acceleration, increased braking, increased strain on components, heavier to lift plus a bit more. Stock size tyres = average looks, normal acceleration, braking, strain etc.

Expensive tyres = better reliability, more kms per tyre, higher cost. Cheap tyres = unknown reliability, fewer kms, lower cost. May be able to buy 2 sets for the same price as 1 set of expensive tyres.
