Hi all; I'm a long-time lurker, but haven't posted till now because I was completely new to patrols and didn't think I had much to offer. Thanks for all the threads that have made my patrol ownership much easier! We're in the mountains between Canberra and Cooma, the roads on our place are pretty rough, so we need a decent 4wd. The first patrol I got three years ago was an ex-mines GU6 ZD30 ute. It's had a few mechanical problems (basically, one continuing problem that's been hard to trace), but its toughness when it's going well has been great. Anyway, we needed a backup car, so have just bought a 1992 GQ TB42 which so far looks like a great car (haven't really tested it out though). I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do.
