Looking for ideas about how to secure 100 mm PVC tubing to the roof rack.
I was thinking downpipe brackets but wondered if there were better ways.
Also, locking end caps! Is there such a thing?

You can buy 100mm clamps from places like Reece, Rhino also have special brackets as well.
Plus you can buy locking screw ends as well

Our old man in the day just used standoff plumbing saddles but it was pretty horid on the corrugated tracks and some broke IIRC.

I have seen screw on caps fitted with the simple sliding door 90 deg rotation locks, so all you do is offset the hole in the screw on cap and provide a slot in the PVC tube so the tang rotates into it. I have mounted PVC tubes on the roofrack before using large 'u' clamps - multitude of sizes avail - google it for best results or ebay. There are PVC fittings that allow you to glue the threaded end cap in place then screw on the cap - very simple.

Cheapest solution..

100mm Saddles (bend the feet to suit)
Hasp and Staple for the endcap lock, staple on the endcap, hasp on the pipe (bend the staple to suit)

Sexiest solution...

Off the shelf fittings from larger plumber supplies outlets (Reece etc)

Thanks guys for the replies.
Many options available depending on how creative I choose to be.
A trip to Bunnings is in order.

I have a length of PVC pipe mounted inside, so a bit awkward to photograph - hence 3 pics. The pipe & it's mounts are what Telstra had mounted on the roof to carry conduit lengths, I just shortened the pipe to suit my purpose. Mounts are 3 piece aluminium castings. Suspect they may be a 'Rhino' product as the orange end caps have the Rhino logo.
