View Full Version : Leaking coolant from hose

Hi guys I have a leaking hose in my gq 2.8 td that comes from the back drivers side and connects to something on top of where oil filter screws onto. Went to nissan to order one and the guy there wasn't much help and didn't know what the hose was called is it a heater hose or part of the cooling system. Any help would be great77948

Hi bloke and welcome. Could be hose to the oil cooler, that said I am a really good carpenter.
A piccy of would help so one of the wiser heads can clarify.

And bingo, next thing there's a piccy.

Does that small tube run around to the turbo? If so I reckon the part number is 14053VB300. Tell the guy at Nissan to look in Group 144 ;)

I think this is on the opposite side to the turbo - on drivers side?

Correct. That small hose in the pic should run around the back of the motor to the turbo.

OK gottcha, been a couple of years since mine came out and didnt recall the fitting.

Rang nissan and told the guy it's a oil cooler hose and I'm going in tomoz to have a look at diagram see if it the right shape thanks guys.

The part number listed in the pic is no doubt superceded to a new number. But thats the one.

Checked out that small hose that is supposed to go to turbo and it's blocked off??? Guess it's been that way since I bought it I'd say

Maybe the turbo is leaking water? Or the pipe going to the turbo is leaking. A leak would be the only reason why someone would block it off I think.
