Hey guys
I'm looking at getting a bigger fuel pump since I fitted my turbo. I wondered whether I should fit a standard gu 11mm one or a ufi one? I found these: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/bunbury/engine-engine-parts-transmission/nissan-td42-diesel-fuel-injection-pumps/1153548251
Firstly is that a reasonable price? Secondly what would a ufi 11mm be worth? Or am I better off to go 12mm? I am only planning to run about 16-18 pounds.
Cheers

I have a 12mm UFI pump and over the moon with it. For the cost saving versus the work to swap out the pump id pay the extra. You will grow into it mate. The UFi will allow you to fit a bigger turbo down the track.

I'd have to agree with MR it's a bit of a painful job swapping the pump out so if you have the $ I'd go with a bigger 12mm while you have it apart.

Although ufi have a few options for you. He said he could do me a worked 11mm pump up to about the 230hp which he quoted at about the $2,300 mark. That's brand new no exchange. The 12mm pumps start at 230hp but are a touch more expensive $2750ish. The bloke told me there's no difference on the road or on the dyno at that power figure between an 11mm or 12mm.

I'd definitely go through ufi rather than the gumtree mob. The prices seem reasonable for an exchange price but pay the extra and get one with a few extra hp from someone that has a solid rep.

Edit: If you're set on the amount of boost you want to run you'll probably be limited to about the 200ish hp range anyway. I just fitted a 250hp pump and they recommend 30pound to start and tune from there.. when it's got a clutch that can hold on that is.
