Styling aside, from a purely practical viewpoint of 600 K range, immense torque, wading depth, etc this mob have built a vehicle with some impressive specs for a 7 seater wagon/F150 dual cab size EV.

Yeah I'd have one for sure. Combined torque of 14,000nm at the wheel from all four motors.

600km range. Well that is half a journey from me to anywhere, unless I install a generator in the back!!

Yeah, agree for us aussies... but 'short range' to us is the norm for the yanks... the Y62 only has a 100 litre tank over there for example.

I'm mainly impressed that they ended up with a fully offroad capable EV 7seater 4WD Wagon/dual cab truck

0-60mph in 3 seconds takes a fair bit of diesel power

'Diesel' and 'Power' when used together constitute the true meaning of Oxymoron

The problem I see with is, is that we love adding things to our cars that use a lot of electrical power... Big lights, winches etc. Every winch recovery or night drive is going to majorly impact on your battery capacity.
Maybe we could use small internal combustion engines to power a hydraulic pump for winching?

There you go Winnie. You could design a complete package for EV 4x4s. A 4 stroke chainsaw that can be fitted to a hydraulic winch and / or a generator with an electric winch.

Sent from my SM-G960F using TapatalkHow many ks would you do on an average weekend high country trip? I'd say if the battery lasts for 600km, and you only drove 200km then then there'd be a lot of juice left for winching etc.
Oh, imagine how strong the winch motors could be if they were hooked up to those mega batteries.

I did see and add on traction motor that was for sale in America. It was bolted to the engine and drove the harmonic balancer. Can't seem to find it again though.
