Evening all. Just got myself a set of Kings drawers for the GU and just as I’m about to install them it hit me that they would cover the tie down point a for a baby seat in the car. Have a little one on the way in April and need to have the baby seat in this car.
Does anyone have these drawers and also a baby seat?

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkHey mate no experience with the king drawers but you can just buy a restraint point and install it somewhere more suitable. I am in the process of doing so myself as I have outback drawers and have purchased a point from sca for about 14$

Sent from my SM-G930F using TapatalkJust be aware that legally if you are adding points then they should be engineered.
I was not worried so much about the legalities of mine rather than the safety of my daughter. Where I have bolted mine is not legal but is completely safe.

Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk100% mate where I bolt it in will not be coming off in a hurry. I'll deal with the legalities if I ever need too.

Any pics of where you’re installing the new tie down point?

Only my opinion WR mate!
Our littlens were out of baby seats only just before purchasing drawers too.
Have served us very well since around the property for quick tools and the like although they are the 85kg straw that breaks the GU’s GVM back.
Really noticeable on a recent family beach trip just had and will be removing shortly for lighter packing alternatives [emoji106][emoji106]

Yeah the 3.0 aren’t the most powerful things. Hopefully she doesn’t struggle with drawers in the back

My friend used Rear Drawers a few years ago when she went for a van trip with her kids. We are using a Chicco car seat for our baby.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkHey mate, got a quote from a child restraint fitting company, and while doing so told me he would need to install the point in my roof but did not say where. I did some digging on the web and someone else over at p4x4 had the same issue and paid the bloke to do it. I pulled back my roof panel after buying the bits needed today to have a look to see how accessible etc and if I could do myself. Turns out Nissan already have a hole drilled through the rear support strut that is also already reinforced. With some difficulty I managed to get the bolt located with washer and it's not all fitted up. See photos for reference.http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2019/01/220.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2019/01/221.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2019/01/222.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2019/01/223.jpg

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkNot threaded, had to feed the bolt with the very large washer it came with through a hole that was near my mount hole and push it over to the hole I used so it dropped through. Make sense?

Yeah it does. Just trying to see where the other bike that you out the bolt and washer in from is.

My Outback drawers came with a restraint point bolted to a capture nut on the top/front of the left drawers. I took it out (no small kids ride here) and have no idea where I put it. Maybe take a look later.

Into the carpeted MDF? Surely that isn't too secure? I have the outback drawers and have had to modify mine to accommodate my 65l anyways

Jesus. I wouldn’t understand that either. Autocorrect seems to have done a number on that for me.
Just wanted to know where the other hole was. The one that you put the bolt and washer through.

This is on the other side but it's pretty much the same. Can't get a pic of the hole I fed the washer and bolt on to get to that hole but just reach up and you'll feel it.http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2019/01/250.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2019/01/251.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2019/01/252.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2019/01/253.jpg
