Hi everyone,
After owning a couple of Hilux's & a 4Runner I have just bought my first Patrol - one owner only driven to church on Sundays.... just kidding, but I did buy it off my Brother who bought it new so I know I have a good one. It's a 2005 GU1V 4.2TD with 106k on the clock so I'm pretty chuffed to have it. She is stock standard at the moment except for a Motsens 3" exhaust but no doubt a 2" lift will be on the cards down the track.
It has a taken a while, to get used to the "Nissan" growl from the manual gearbox and I am still trying to fine tune the driving technique to avoid it as much as possible. Overall I'm very happy with it and am looking forward to some great adventures in it. I have just accepted a job offer in WA so we are heading off in a couple of weeks over the top from SE Qld to Newman. Cape Leveque here we come!
I'm looking forward to getting lots of good ideas from you guys, and would especially like some ideas on where I could get a copy of a workshop manual for her before we head off.
Cheers
Graeme
