Have noticed these on Ebay and was wondering if they are good value, or should I stick to genuine, my GU1 2.8 has 270,000, so not too far from replacement.

Any thoughts??

Mate, I would go genuine with something as important as timing belt, tensioner and idler.
I would always use a new balancer bolt as well and LOCTITE it.
Try Nizzbits on here, He will deliver genuine Nissan parts to your door at a fair and better price.

There are some things I just would not buy non genuine, timing belts and tensioners are some of these items.

Also as the Ferret has said replace and loctite the balancer bolt its a must with the 2.8

Thanks guys much appreciated, that was the way I was thinking, but needed to be convinced I think, thanks heaps. I bought the car with 256000, but dont know to much about the history so am a little paranoid about it mechanically, but the old girl is a great truck and does everything I ask of it, love the Patrol.
Looks like I now know what to do with my next tax return..
