I have a 91 GQ, she is always a little broken, but i like to fix her myself
The current issue is the Speedo, it infuriates me, that is for sure. I do not think it is the speedo itself (i have put in 2 replacement parts ...), or the sender (same deal there)
I am here to get the service manual and see if it has a better wiring pic than what i have

So the symptoms presents as intermittent operation. when she does work, it reads correctly, but it will turn off and on with the speedo (and odo) being mostly off
i am getting a good AC signal coming from the speed sensor (pins 22, 24), and i have a good ign volts (Pin 21 to Gnd), but i am unsure what pin 23 is for?
I thought it was supposed to be to Gnd, mine was not, so i had a go at that and it did not work, and now at a bit of a loss

Welcome to the forum. It will most likely be corroded legs on the Quartz Crystal component, a failed solder joint on the Printed Circuit Board or a bad connector. The dash cluster on a GQ is easy to get to once the dash surround has been removed.
