Here is my shiny new toys and I am glad that I didn't plum up my intercooler before I got my turbo because the intake snail is in the completely different spot, only problem is the pipes were stainless steel, anyway back to my original question were do I put my EGT prob I want it pre turbo and the turbo sits on the forth exhaust pulse on the exhaust header

Hey mate, what turbo & pump did you go? Depending in turbo should be able to rotate the housing to move the outlet to suit. Most put probe in dump pipe just weld a bung in but can go in the manifold too.

Thanks bro I know you can rotate the snail but I think where it is now is a better position the befor plus the out let would hit the wast gate bracket if I spun it around, and I was told the pre turbo gives a more accurate reading and I want for nothing but the best UFI 21L turbo and a 12 mm 250 hp ip

Hey mate, nice. Have just put same pump on mine and impressed is in understatenent lol. Haven't even put my foot all the way to the floor yet lol just cruise around on a 10th throttle just delivers. Closer to motor is better but nothing wrong with dump pipe i reckon.

Hey FP, that battery is extremely close to the turbo - its going to cook in no time. Are you moving it - so tight I think even an insulated box isn't going to work so well. Also, note its an AGM, its not going to like the under bonnet heat at all, would be bad enough if a wet cell. I would say move it before you kill it.

That is going to be a problem I have no where else to but the battery I have so much stuff in the back that space is an issue

You have a choice, leave it and destroy it, or move it and save it!!!! I assume it can be laid on its side being an AGM, so maybe that opens up some options.

I could possibly chang the start battery and the AGM around and swap places what do you think so then it would be on the intake side away from the turbo heat

This is a compromise that will still see the battery cook, even if a wet cell. The only advantage of swapping the wet cell location is that you can top it up, and you will be doing that frequently. Only takes one time you forget and it's over. Honestly, spend the time, go the extra yards and remove the battery from that location, you will be better off for sure unless you own a battery store.

I'll agree with PeeBee on this one.
If you have any chance of putting the battery somewhere else, it'll be better for it. I know most setups have the battery sitting under the hood and some last for ages without any dramas. But slow cooking your battery isn't good. My battery got heat damaged and that was the end of that. Sitting inches from the turbo, it was only a matter of time. And now I have so much room there i love it, especially with the larger turbo and intake coming up... So glad i did it.
Slotted the aux in the rear and happy now.

Yeah thanks guys I have been thinking about it and before I read your posts I realized that changing them over would cause more troubles then help and I realized that I need to re-invente the wheel and suck it up and also I realy do need that extra space

I have my turbo off and looking at the manifold just below were the turbo sits there seems to be enough meat to tap my adapter in for my EGT prob I meant to take a photo but I got home to late but there is about 10 mil meat there I sat my adpter beside it and i would have to screw it all the way in just to reach the bottom and all so with the manifold there is a devider in the middle so only the first four exhaust pulses would register so would that still work effectively?
