Hi All,

I wanted to confirm with someone what size hose the low pressure power steering hose should be before I start pulling it apart? The other Patrol forum (https://www.patrol4x4.com/forum/nissan-patrol-gq-y60-ford-maverick-11/power-steering-hoses-20902/) suggested 3/8" but I've put them side to side and the one on my RD28 seems to be bigger - more like 1/2".

The problem is Nissan doesn't sell the hose any more, so I have to improvise...

Would appreciate any responses - my car is on the stands right now waiting for me to either replace it or have to run to an auto store for some last minute hose...

Blake

I would maybe go to fluid hose service place. eg farm machinery service / folk lift sevice places , then get one made up regards Alex

Surely though, because it's a low pressure hose I can get something off the shelf?

Yeah you can. Wether it’s ideal or legal, not sure. But I did it on the old VX commy I had. I had some Gates premoflex hose here and used that. It’s rated to 250psi so I new it would be good.
