Swap to Y61 manual transmission from Y60 SWB transmision

Hi Recently I broke my Y60 SWB manual Transmission. Now I am looking to install Y61 manuel transmission But I heard there is 2 different type of front shaft for Y61 MT. Is this true do i need to check for correct type of MT for front shaft length. Also I had a TB42 engine now swap to LS1 engine.
