Hi everyone I just got a 2005 3litre gu
It has been lifted 2 inches 33inch tyres
Has a chip it chip and tuned
Aftermarket inter cooler
3 inch exhaust
It runs very well

Should I still put a Dawes valve on it even tho it’s been tuned I got one there and do I need to tune it again waiting on pillar pod so I can connect boost and exhaust temp gauges

I have had tritons and cruisers but new to Nissan’s

Fit the gauges and monitor temps and boost. If the factory set up is working, it’s actually a good set up although watching the boost bouncing around will drive u nuts and that’s where the Dawes helps. It will smooth that out and can keep egr temps down.
But see what it’s like first off. I have seen guys fit a Dawes to a standard set up purely to catch over boost and limit how much boost you get with good results and it allows the VNT to continue to do its job as it was meant to.
