Hi. Been lurking n reading for a while and decided it's time to join up, so I have,
On my second Patrol, 2012 GU ST wagon after a 2012 ute. I loved the ute, the handbrake hated it! She won!
It's bog standard at the moment, apart from cargo barrier but 3" exhaust going in next week along with EGT and boost gauges. Then decide if Dawes and needle are needed. Trying for bit better towing performance.
Don't know why but the ute, though same drivetrain as far as I know had much better performance when towing, maybe weight factor? 2012 also.
Anyway see how it goes next week.
Oh yeah, live and work in Pilbara so plenty opportunities for off reading.
Cheers,
Jeff.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Yes there are lots worse places than the Pilbara to live. Always plenty to explore.
And ta for the hint on the intercooler. Had it happen on the ute. This one's just starting, not so bad yet but on the list of things to do. Cleaned the MAF sensor already.
One thing that seems a bit tricky, is there an easy way to connect the boost gauge? I've searched fleabay and online for those adaptors that go under the MAF sensor but always get "out of stock". Not keen on drilling and tapping the intercooler, though that is an option, likewise tig welding, can't do that. Any other ideas?

Hi Avo. I'm in Tom Price. Going to Karratha shortly, not a pleasure trip through, short hospital visit.
