Hi i have a arb simpson 3 rooftop tent and the zips on the top cover have broken so i rang arb for a replacement and i think it was around 350-450 from memory, and thats just way to much i reckon so i have found replacement bags on the howling moon website https://www.howlingmoon.com.au/product/roof-top-tent-replacement-cover#&gid=1&pid=3. Now im not sure what cover would suit. If anyone knows that would be great thanks.

If you know the model and approx sizes, why not drop Howling Moon a note and see if they can help?

F*** a duck. $ 350-450...!?
That's quarter of a price for the whole Simpson 3 tent . Tell em to shove it.

Maybe visit a canvas place somewhere and get a quote on a cover to be made up.

In other news.
Take note of at least 3 quarters , of the King's RTTs on the road and their zips torn off flapping in the wind...

Yeah i do like it the zip broke because of my own fault i ripped on it pretty hard and broke it. Its a great tent and with the annex under it makes a great change/storage area . The only down side is the mattress its very stiff. A mate has a kings tent and there not the same they set up a bit diffrent the arb one is easier to set up . On the arb one where you climb the ladder its has a roof bit that slides out on telescopic poles but the kings one you have a big bit of pole you have to insert in a pocket to set it up. But to be honest i would be happy with the kings one for the price .

Had a similar issue with mine, ARB quoted $350 for a new one if they could find one (mine is the older model). The zip slider on mine was worn and the zip would pop open. I just replaced the slider with one off a section of the Annex I was not using. Been all good ever since.

I did get a couple of quotes from upholsterers to replace the zip, most were around the $200 - $250 mark. The size 10 zip for the length required was $50 alone.

Agree with Hodge get a purpose made canvas one,
Probably easier to fit than the OE one.

Yeah ill ring up some places about getting one made up, i rang howling moon and there covers wont fit my arb one. I thought most rooftop tents were pretty much copys of each others

Just thinking you could have a sleeve sewn into the side to carry poles etc.
