I’ve noticed when turning the car off my gu td4.2 shudders for a while then turns off? It’s like it’s getting fuel still after shut off? Like key is in off position and car still firing for couple seconds, any help appreciated

I’ve noticed when turning the car off my gu td4.2 shudders for a while then turns off? It’s like it’s getting fuel still after shut off? Like key is in off position and car still firing for couple seconds, any help appreciatedSounds like a sticking shut off solenoid.
My one does it once in every 50 times I turn it off.

Where is it located is solenoid behind fuel pump?

Mate. Happens to TD42ti when even new.

I wouldnt worry about it. Comes and goes . Nissan couldnt do a thing about it and it doesnt do any harm.

Either up your idle revs or give the throttle a bleep before turning it off.

You can clean the power connectors to it but honestly. Dont lose sleep over it

Alright cheers mate, the ol td4.2 are tough. Just no matter who I drive in the big shagon wagon they always say when I shut it off is it supposed to do that 😂 getting sick of saying no, I think illl just say yes
