Hi fellas
The other day I was out 4bying up and down hills and whenever I used 1st low to engine brake down the hill, a funny rubbing/grinding noise was coming from the front diff area or maybe transfer case. It sounded like quite an unhealthy noise.
I have considered the radius arm bushes on the chassis end as I have never replaced these and I recon they have play in them. It could be the front diff sliding forward? What else could this be?
Cheers

G’day Jack, it is hard to describe noises in words I know mate but there is a possibility it could just be the good old Nissan gearbox ‘chatter’ when the engine is at very low rpm.
Hopefully it is just this for you as every one of mine have always done it too without issue.
Maybe try and record the noise one day and post it up here for others advice too mate.

Cheers MB that could be it. It just sounds a little different to gear rollover...
