Evening everyone,

I am looking at getting a camper trailer with a tare weight of around 1600kgs - +/- 2000kg loaded, is my 2006 GUIV going to tow this ok or am i going to be chugging around everywhere watching EGT? or should i stop worrying and just get on with it? :) i realize i am not going to zip around but...

I have a larger intercooler, 3" exhaust and gauges, 2in lift. i have a dawes valve but have not installed it yet. (time and kids)

Regards,

Alastair

My 3.0Di managed our trailer easily--only places we were REALLY slow were climbing up to Toowoomba and Monto--both steep and long. Just get down in the gears early.

How did you go with the camper trailer Alastair? I have a 3lt CRD and find it very sluggish on long hills when towing my camper and I do watch my revs and temp constantly. My car has only 60k on the clock and is great when not towing.
