Hi all,

Have grown up with Patrols around, old man owning a Maverick 4.2, who recently bought the N-Tek one of the last Y61's available from the dealer. My Brother bought a dirt cheap blown 1998 RD28T platform and now has it singing better than Nissan ever could.

Bought my first 4WD yesterday. 2007 GU4 One of the first to have the Common Rail and Cruise Control with 137k. Hoping I've caught it early enough to 'save' the engine for further destruction trying to comply with euro 4.

Not planning to do much off-road work, however needed a much heavier tow vehicle for a race car.

Can't wait to do a complete service and care for it into the future.

Cheers

For some reason I never got an activation sent through to my email address and couldnt deactivate the account to start over. Anyway using my other email address and things have worked. Can't tell if the patrol I purchased has been 'tailored' a bit. Hasnt been resprayed but the door bump strips and decals are nothing i've ever seen before... 76536

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking vehicle. The later model CRDs seem to have most of the bugs ironed out of the engine. Plenty of info on the N.A.D.s mods here so dive in.

Cheers, and yeah hope i've 'caught' the engine in time to stop the self harm. Only has 137k on it but id say a fair amount of towing. Is there a lot of mechanical improvements for reliability on the CRD? I've been into the CRD supplements in the Service manuals and don't see anything yet. This was within the first 400 vehicles with the CRD into Aus based on it's VIN.
