Hey folks, putting a dual battery set up in my gu8 and can't decide the best place for the redarc 1225 bcdc unit.
Apparently they don't like the higher temps.
Where have you mounted yours?
Pics would be a great help.

Mines mounted upside down under the passenger side foot well against the fan motor box.

mine was mounted behind the grill, no pics as i sold the car

A work mate put his behind the grill (GU VII), used the existing fan mounting holes (where no fan is fitted). We had some heavy aluminium angle that was perfect for the job.

Mine was installed by a commercial Patrol workshop - in the engine bay on the passenger side.

Mine is mounted behind second battery.

Thanks for the replies gents much appreciated.
Still trying to find someone to install the system.
Seems auto elecs are flatout at the moment.
