Hi,I am pretty new at this.I have only posted one thread since being a member,Warwick is my name i am hopping some one can shed a bit of light on a problem i am having with my 2004 4.8 petrol AUTOMATIC GU PATROL.This problem occurs when towing our Caravan,the Transmission goes into Limp Mode.The oil has been replaced,filter cleaned.Still going into LIMP MODE.Cheers guy's.

When you get time it might pay to post your query over in the mechanical section for a guru to assist, not all good folks get time to read the intros unfortunately.

the only limp mode I have experienced is after walking into the tow bar...:icon_bonk:

The lil ZD30 is a zippy motor, but god I do not miss mine one bit. All the electrical bugs those bloody motors have...

Never heard of a petrol 4.8 ltr going into limp mode but happy to be wrong.
First Id disconnect the battery for half and hour to re set everything.
Oh and welcome to the Forum ,most of all renjoy

yeah i kinda fell off topic there, but yes they will also go into limp mode, as can any electronic engine.

Me too. I converted my Patrol from Electronic back to mechanical and haven't looked back.
