hazard lights stay on

Hi i have just done a full engine rebuild over last few months and i have just tryed to start it but the hazard lights stay on even with key turned off only way is to disconect batterie has anyone got any sugestions

have you tried disconnecting the back of the hazard switch? just starting at the top, could it be a faulty switch?
