Hi,
just introducing myself as per the forum rules (need to download the service manual).
Here's my 2008 coil cab, just picked up at Pickles Auctions two weeks ago. Seems mechanically sound other than a couple issues, hard starting at any time of the day, engine warm or cold, needs a pump of the accelerator to help it kick into life. Also a bit too much black smoke anytime I'm accelerating. I've booked in for some diagnostic work at Cooma Diesel, in the meantime I'll be changing filters and fluids as a starting point (and cleaning the MAF, which may or may not help the black smoke issue).
Any tips on diagnosing the problems appreciated.
