TD4.2t should be good yea? Or do you think it’s a bit over spec for the old engine? She’s done 220000km on clock thought run this through prob clean it out. I’m no oil expert that’s for sure but this has got good cleaning additives ?

Perfect for ye-ol TD42. In a previous life I was a Castrol distrubutor, sold ship loads of it for the TD, and SD Nissans back in the day.

Thank god, thought you were gonna say it was bad haha. She may be old mate but she will never stop.

Is there much difference between the buckets of RX black and white?

I haven't dealt with Castrol for a few years now, but I think they now have RX Super, a RX Super plus. RX is CI-4 and plus is CI-4 plus. I think. without jumping on their website.

Yeah just looked on their website. They've changed it again to three variants. CJ-4/E9, CI-4 Plus/ E7 and CI-4/ E7. All would be fine, the CJ-4 would be an overkill, if I had to be picky.

I very well could be wrong.
I thought RX was mineral and RX Super was semi-synthetic like Delo 400.

I personally run Delo 400 last few services ... But it's getting hard to find so may have to go with Rx super .

Nah still mineral Eric, same as Delo400. Just a mineral oil, Nothing wrong with that though... Where I used to work in Campbellfield mate I think they sell the Premium variant for around $110. If your keen let me know and I'll set it up. I may even get some for myself too but oil changes are few and far between these these.
