Anybody know if the 95L will fit in the rear of the Gu8 Patrol with the rear seats removed? Either with or without a single draw underneath?

My 80 lt does but not on a slide and you have to remove the fridge to open it.

Why do you want a 95lt fridge? Its not huge, its gigantic

Yes it will. But it takes up a fair bit of real-estate.
It'll fit between the barn doors and the middle seats, just. From memory they are 950 long and over 30kg. It sort of fits on one side longwise and then pack everything else around it.
My mate has one and he has it in the back of his 2009 GU. Awesome fridge but damn they are cumbersome.

long stays up north nowhere near shops. need something for carrying supplies and bait. freezing fish ready for return journey to the south. the waeco design seems loads better than the engel with choice of either fridge or freezer on either side and this makes it vastly more flexible. not concerned about power consumption with extra battery solar and generator. more concerned with it fitting. will install a slider on floor of gu8 with draws alongside. the difference in price is only 150 more to go from the 75 to the 95 litre models. hopefully problems with the waeco electronics and compressor failures have been sorted.

actually i take that back .. there is only $60 difference between the 75 and the 90 litre models

For the sake of a couple of hundred dollars i'd be looking at a 45lt and a 35lt and use the 35 as a freezer. Great setup and easy to handle and a built in backup if one fails. You can manage the pack in the car much better too.

Also gives you more options when your Not on a big trip. A 95lt fridge on a day trip would be a pain in the ass.

Thats a very good point ... it would cost approx 200 more for the 2 and i agree it would save a load of effort and space if going out for a day ... will really think about that point .. thanks for the heads up 😁

Top big fridge the 95L although a mates 80 series LC has to have it sideways in the back :-( Our GU family wagon 80L fits atop of the drawers (right side) only just longways and only because of the Waeco ‘slimline’ fridge slide.
Run 2 x smaller fridges in the ute and it is great to shut off the freezer one once dwindling supplies can be moved to thaw out in the single fridge.

Yes it does seem to be a more flexible system than a single large fridge/freezer .. i think i will wait and do some careful measuring and planning 😁

I think you'll also find running the two smaller ones will draw less power too. The freezer will be opened bugger all and I remember mb having issues on long trips with power consumption with family opening the big fridges every 10 minutes, etc.

FWIW, on my utes dual setup Timbo mate, I simply home ‘hard’ freeze goodies before departure and then add them in to freezer one. Driving to destination alternator intended keeps all batteries chockers as goodies are already beyond settings. If parked up with crappy clouds for a few days hindering solar efforts just simply move frozen tucker each other morning to fridge for dinners and assist it until final shutdown of freezer one, if that makes sense :-)

The 95’s would sort that issue though bro as they have dual proper lids, although naughty tin lids can achieve anything:-)
