Hey,

So I'm looking at getting more clearance underneath the diff of my RD28 GU as I'm getting stuck on the diff far far too often while other people roll past in their Bravo's. ::mad: This has lead me to pretty much avoiding driving in ruts, and was the only one in the convoy to not make it up a sand path - after a full week of rain :useless: - because the diff keeps digging holes.

I'm looking at moving to a 33" or thereabouts tyre and get new shoes as well, is it legal to move from stock 16" to 15" and is there a benefit to it? It'd be most practical for me to get the wheel size that would offer the cheapest 33" tyres in likely Mickey or Cooper All-terrains.

What's the best solution?

Cheers

And for anyone interested in full touring draws I saw on Nizz4x4 they an ex-FourbyFitouts Patrol to part out.

Shave the diff. http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/showthread.php?42276-Diff-shaving-Who-s-dunnit!-Whats-involved&highlight=shaving+diff

No benefit of changing rim size. The diff height wont change. It will only change from tyre size. Shaving the diff is a good option. Something I want to do to my own patrol.

Just get yourself portals, then everyone will be trying to follow you.

Might not be the cheapest option though...lol
