Gday guys,

Im 18 and i happily own a 2008 3.0L patrol. Recently i have noticed an annoying rattle to the back left of the vehicle when moving, but only if im in low revs (Eg - 1000 revs in 2nd or 3rd gear). The rattle is very loud and i have to push the clutch in a little bit to stop it or get up the an appropriate speed / rev level.

I have had look to see if anything was loose but i couldnt find anything that could possibly make the noise..

If anyone has an idea or can relate to this id love to hear what you have to say.

Cheers guys
Mark

Hi mate,

It will likely be the end of the exhaust pipe rattling against the tie down point. drives me bonkers a bit. You can try and pull it away or use some Tie Wire and tie the bloody thing hard onto the chassis so it cant rattle.

At eighteen I thought you would be too old for a rattle :devilred: But yep exhaust rattle is the likely problem

Fixed mine with a 1/2" garden hose (25mm long or whatever), split down one wall, slip it on the hanger rod to push across and secure it with a worm drive hose clamp. Needed it with 3" exhaust tail pipe.
