Just introducing myself after a few months of lurking and finally pulling the trigger on a 2000 4.5l Patrol ST.
It's my first 4x4 of my own, but my father had an 89 Turbo Diesel GQ and my mother had a 4.2l carby GQ when I was younger, so there are many fond memories of trips away in those Patrols.
Now it's my turn to do the same with my own family.
Looking forward to learning more from all of you here, especially once I start down that rabbit hole of modifications and upgrades!
... Which may have already started with basics such as upgrading the factory headunit, installing a full length rooftop tent roof rack, and putting in some extra auxiliary USB charging ports into the back of the center console for the kids to charge their tablets.
The wish list is long, but also trying to work within a budget. Luckily when I purchased the Patrol, it already had a 2" lift, ECB Bullbar, UHF, spotlights, and electronic brake control
Still to come is a snorkel, winch, dual battery set up, diff breathers, 33" tyres, an LED light bar, amongst many other things! Bits and pieces to add over time as budget allows.
