G'day.
Long time lurker, first time poster.
Just like to thank you guys for all your help and info while I was making my decision to pull the trigger and go for a y60, a wealth of knowledge on this forum.
Just got my hands on a diesel ford maverick and am looking forward to setting it up and tricking it out.
The mav comes out of the mechanics next week, given its age it is in really good condition.
Pretty close to stock, it had the alloy bar and sidestep from the dealership, only real mod since then was the rear windows replaced with solid panels of glass after the inevitable rusty sill problem.
2nd gear syncro was shot (which is why it went in, as well as rwc), clutch a bit worn so it's getting a fresh one while it's there, major service (timing, water pump etc), full front end rebushing, new battery... Mech says that it's putting out good compression and it should be good to go for another 20 years. (as long as I keep throwing money at it!)
