Hi all, what is the go with setting the over boost alarm on the redarc boost gauge? What has everyone done?? Whats the alarm level set at? Its a stock 2012 CR 3.0.

Cheers all.

I suspect it has to do with individuals tolerance of risk levels. :)

Can't help with the CR3.0, but expect there will be someone along soon who can advise

I was advised that 550-600deg.C was the 'back off point' for my TD42i. Occasional quick squirts above that may be OK, but not sustained use.
As it is I am cautious & set my redarc alarm at 525 deg.C ...... but realistically rarely reach that sort of temperature. Most of the time I'm between 250 & 450.

Oops I somehow read EGT when you actually wrote boost .... how does that happen? :) Haven't bothered setting a boost alarm on mine, it maxs out at 13.5psi (up from the stock 7) - running standard crimped intercooler.

On my 2012 I had the alarm set at 20, I never really seen it go over 17psi.
The only time the alarm went off was when I blocked the egr, very quickly I took that off
