Struggle starting cold

hey guys, in my 07 CRD on cold starts it takes 3/4 seconds to start and when it does, a big puff of smoke comes out the exhaust and it smokes for a little while. Ive checked the battery and its fine, ive also cleaned the injectors.. would it be a glowplug issue or what do you guys thinks?

This time of year seems to bring a flood of hard to start issues , if you know how to do it test your glow plugs ,some suggest giving the plugs a double go at the preheat and as I've found in the GQ wait a little bit longer before cranking .
There are a few threads below on the same subject some go into detail about testing the glow plug .
