Have you tried pushing the right hand side door in hard first and then try to open it?

If RHS is not locked properly LHS sometimes won't open.

OK that didn't work it sounds like the lock its not working rite looking from outside it looks like it doesn't unlock all the way I have tried a rod through the cargo barrier to move it with no luck

Is there anything in the back pushing up against the back door?

I have had that before with my older GU's where I jammed stuff into the back and it was pressing on the Lock Button on the back door, as the older ones don't have any protruding material to stop the cargo being hard up on the lock itself.

I had to go for a drive - a bit of rough cornering and hitting the brakes hard to slide everything away from the door

No nothing against the doors

Would it be worth a try to get a long rod from inside the cab to see if you can push the lock up and down inside maybe?

Having read others here mate some have had luck with taking the cargo barrier out from the cab to get in.

Doesn't sound like a fun job but maybe a look at before smashing windows.

My rear drivers door does this sometimes and you need to take the trim off and release it.

Even with cargo barrier out still have the draws and shelf's in the way an it looks like you new back door open to dismantle it

Try RACV/NRMA - whatever state you are in. They have all sorts of gadgets to get into locked cars. They would have seen this many times and at least give you advice. Before you break windows or cut into the door - get a price for a replacement. They are not cheap.

Dont break the window. the side windows will come out of the body VERY EASILY. take out the entire window with seal and all and access the lock from the side if you have to.

Will give the side window a go I broke the lock out of the back door having a hissy fit hoping I could at least get a finger in there an get it open oops that turned out to be a bad thing real bad

Bugger, that aint a great outcome. If your serious you should be able to find a white one easy enough.

How long can you wait until you need to get in the back?

Search on Gumtree, Ebay and ring around wreckers something should come up for $100 max soon.

AB is spot on mate. Keep looking !!!

I recently had my big barn door hit. Door was stuffed. Patrolapart and other wreckers wanted $300+ for unknown condition door.
Quick gumtree search netted me a perfect white door for $170.

Big thanks to all the suggestions for getting barn doors unstuck , none really help much once you put drawers in and a cargo barrier and shelving so ended up removing small door glass and destroying door card and fixtures that were inthe way .
After a crap load of stuffing around I pulled the grommet for the demister and managed to get a tent peg down to trip the stuck latch, then removed locking system soaked and rushed in diesel and all good again.
My advice to anyone with rear drawers if you haven't done it remove and clean lock mechanism, there was no warning with it always very easy to open but the Great central road has done a bit of grief to this and campereven thoughroad wasmostly ingood nic.
