Hi all - Recently bought GU VI (27,000kms) to replace our geriatric but faithful NL Paj (340,000kms). Enjoying the new truck (and it is, compared to the Paj!), but stuff to get for it. Already got a bullbar, lights and snorkel. Need to get cargo barrier, towbar, maybe overhead console and maybe put in new suspension (ready for CSR in 2013!). Any suggestions? Genuine or after market best? Suggestions welcome. Cheers.

Welcome to the forum mate.
Don't bother with genuine it's over priced.
Definately fit cargo barrier and heavy duty 2" lift suspension for the CSR.

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your new troll.
Living in Canberra, I thought I might suggest 12v electric blankets, 12v coffee cups and 12v microwave. lol.
All the best with your mods.

It's a 3Lt oiler manual.

It's a 3Lt oiler manual.
Cool... same as mine but a tad younger.
First thing I would suggest is a Scangauge (less than $200). Worth their weight in Gold no matter what you use the truck for IMHO.
After that it depends what you want to do, Touring or more aggresive wheeling and if you tow a bit.
The CRD's love a 3 inch exhaust and Chips etc will make them zing along quite nicely. Make sure you wack an EGT gauge on it if you do that tho.
2 inch lift and 33's would be probably the most popular configuration after stock standard if you feel the need to gain an inch of ground clearance and better entry/departure angles.
If the Patrols have one 'irritating' drawback for a vehicle of it's size and capability it is the limited load carrying ability. 650 Kgs over tare and you are near the GVM. It means choosing the accessories wisely and carrying only what you need.
