I'm looking at some long range tanks for the GU.
Wondering if anyone has fitted/used/knows about the Brown Davis NPGUA2 tank? It replaces the sub tank.
They say it holds 80 litres. But I'm wondering if it can hold 80, or can you only ever get less than 80 into it, like the standard Patrol tanks??????
Thanks.

Hey mate, not sure on the sub but I had a BD main tank and it would take full capacity.
I can definitely say they are tough, mine took a fair few knocks and no dramas what so ever.

I have a long range sub tank. Bought it second hand from a member, boots, where are ya mate!? Anyhow, I can get around 80 ltrs in mine. Usually around 75ish now when the gauge reads empty.
As for brand, not sure what it is. I fitted it, and it works. I just had to cut and lengthen the arm on the tank sender float from the original tank...

My GU has the 80L Bd sub tank and as far as I know it takes the full 80L. Not 100% on that as I never let it get empty. But never had any probs with it. If I was to do it again I'd go the 90L.

Hi Katwoman.
That's good to know that I should be able to get 80L into it. The 90L tank requires a body lift, which I don't have.
I was thinking of doing the main tank mod as well to increase that, bigguwesty says he can get about 105L into his main tank after doing that mod.
I really ran my main tank down one day, as far as I felt safe to and I got 86L into it when I filled it up so I'm hoping bigguwesty got 105L in at the bowser and not filling it when it was out of the car our something.

Tried searching on forum but could not find anything. Heading across the Simpson in July and need all the fuel storage I can get! Thanks.

Raising the breather allows for more fuel as it leaves less space for expansion
