Now I know The Patrol is programmed to autolock the doors if you press unlock on the remote or unlock via keys but you dont open the doors in 30 seconds.
Now this leads to a common problem.
Alot of owners dont have the interior lights on so you dont realise when your door switch starts to play up
and when the door switch goes faulty or intermittently faulty you have a good chance of locking your keys inside.
almost happened to me today.
Basically the door switch thinks you havent open the door yet when in fact you have.
I went to open the bonnet. 20 seconds later I hear the door locked.
I thought it was odd.
then i remembered door switch on drivers side is intermittently playing up because of the interior lights flickering.
So yes replace your door switch guys. 20 dollars later and all good again.
