Ive just installed a new intercooler and i dont think the engine cover will fit.
Newbie questions time
Is it necessary to have the cover on?
Will the seal on the bonnet for scoop be adequate?
Will the seal be able to withstand the heat from direcr contact with the intercooler?
Sorry the newbie questions. Im new so be gentle hahahaha

Now another newbie question

Seems the pipes on the new intercooler are slightly fatter then the factory ones. Any tips to get the hoses on?

Assuming it is the correct IC then either the manufacturer should have the correct fittings. Supercheap have various sizes and lengths. Make sure you have good quality clamps and they are firm as blowing a hose is exciting with sound and performance and EGT’s if you have a gauge. I found I could only use silicon hose a couple of times before renewing or it would blow out from under the clamps.
