Hi mate,
Nice work. did you fuse it? and are you running more than 1? what will you do with the gap?
Consider one of these and maybe fit another 2

Or a blank perspex cover to mount it or rip the face off the ashtray and mount into that.
Alternatively put the ashtray in and mount beside it but you would need to cut into the console. Good job having a go mate.

I intend on making it look alot neater. This was just a quick job (wanted it in quick as we have gone away for weekend n wanted it in the back for kids) with a piece of perspex my best mate cut out for me at his work.
Probably wont need another one in there.
Didnt think of ripping the ashtray cover off. Might have to look into that. Cant remember if i threw it out. Cheers for the idea mate

Most ppl make a plate the same shape as the ash tray lid and cut 3 holes to except carling style swithes.
If enough are interested Ill cut a heap in SS they wont break the bank. looks tidier as well

I did a similar thing there but left the ash tray intact. Remove the ashtray to get to the fuse panel mounted behind it.
The red rings under the outlets are just to indicate 'always on' connected to the second battery.
And more mounted elsewhere.

You can buy these panel mounts from Narva that clip together and will fit in the hole left from removing the ashtray with a little amount of adjustment.

Silly me bought 2 x Centre pieces and one outside. Then I couldn’t be bothered driving back to buy another outside piece so I drilled a hole in the back of the console and fitted a round Narva usb outlet
