Can anyone point me to the right brand of rocker switch that fits into the centre console without mods .

They are "Carling" rocker switches, also known sometimes as ARB switches.

I've used this lot (http://www.otrattw.net/Contura-V-SR/) before to get mine, although there's plenty out there!

Or you can have a look at this site (http://www.aironboard.com.au/store/products/switches/nissan-push-switches.html). This one (http://www.aironboard.com.au/store/products/switches/nissan-push-switches.html?limit=36&switch_logo=684)is my personal favorite!

The carling are too big the body doesn't fit yet alone the retainer clips .I'm led to believe Patrols tojo's and Mitso's are all in the same dilemma and when I want to use 3 switches in the console will look like a 5 year old has been let loose.

is this in a GQ centre console?? i can confirm that your advice is wrong 100% i have 4 Carling switches across the middle of the centre of my GQ and 3 more down the left side where the left ahnd drive hand brake would be. Happy to get you some pics or have a look in my build thread.

If its a GU i dont think youll get 3 in side of the centre console.
Ive installed 1 and had to cut a tiny bit of plastic to install it and even then it doesnt sit flush. My guess is itll be the same for where youre asking about putting them. You may have to do some trimming of the plastic surroundings.

G’day DT mate! Be careful listening to MudRunnerTD, he’ll turn your truck full comp worthy for sure:-)
Still take a little loved one/s out and about sometimes in the ute and dogs also love to jump inside at home too! I keep all my serious switches away from their shaningans:-) http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2018/02/171.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2018/02/172.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2018/02/173.jpg

I have the same type of switch as MB in my GU's centre console. I made up a new mounting plate from some perspex I had and secured it in using the old plate. Issue is the rockers break off easily there from having the likes of charge cables that get hooked in behind the rocker. Now I need to find a new spot for winch isolator and in/out switch.

As close to steering wheel as possible, I stuffed up and put mine a little far away but will redo near the dash cluster

IIRC the Narva brand 'Carling' style fit the GU cutouts... and... you are correct in that the genuine Carling do not fit without a teensy bit of surgery.

I can't be 100% certain on the Narva but I'm pretty certain that is the brand I had in my prev GU centre console.
Whatever brand, they are slightly smaller on the surround and also the retaining clips are slightly different

Nah mate I used the Narva ones in the console. Exact same size as the Carling switch I pulled out...

Fair enuf... I'll try and find out what ones I used prev.

All I use in my current rig are Carlings as they are in my 'outback' overhead console

OK... my bad... and Mudski is on the money

Went ratting thru my 'leftovers' box from my prev 'U and the switches I was thinking of that dropped straight in were Narva but not the Carling clone, just a boggy old poverty pack style rocker which I later did replace with Carlings after some minor surgery wit the Dremel.

Carlings shit me when the globe blows as it is a PIA to try and replace.

They are illegal under ADR's, same theory as wing mirrors, rod holders and lights on top of Bullbars

If you hit a pedestrian and they come thru the windscreen they may put an eye out on the toggle
