Hey guys.

I am having an issue with the vacuum in my patrol, I have not got an vacuum assistance for the clutch or the brakes. All vacuum hoses are in good condition, and I have a good vacuum to both boosters. If I block the hose going to the clutch booster then I have brakes working again. If I block the hose going to the brake booster I still have no clutch.
Clearly that shows an issue with the clutch booster but doesn't explain why I don't have brakes then? The 1 way valve on the brake line works as It should. I pulled the clutch booster off and this is what I found. Now that it is off, if I blow into the vacuum port the air comes straight out the shaft which would push on the master cylinder. Not sure if it should hold air while it's off the car?

Yeah she's pretty fubared. Not sure why there is no brake boost tho, when my clutch one failed brakes still worked. Not sure how the valve works but assume they should be separate circuits for safety reasons. The thing should be sealed out of car when blowing in hose, is majorly stuffed i reckon and will all work again once fixed but the question is if it is safely isolated from the brakes incase something happens again? ?

The 1 way valve should isolate the brakes from the clutch, I could only blow air through the valve in one direction. The brake side is holding vacuum for a few minutes once the engine has been turned off too.

A new clutch booster has completely solved my problem. It would be interesting to see if somebody else with the same car took off the hose going into the clutch booster if they lost their brakes.
If so then I have another little problem I need to solve and that is why the two systems are not being isolated.
