Silicon inlet hpse

Hi Guys n Gals ,as the title says I'm just wondering if anyone has used the Forefront silicon inlet hose ?
Available off ebay for $139 .Or would it be better making one from aluminum tube and silicon joiners ?

If you can make one cheaper and fairly easily it's a no brainer. But I'm not really sure if the gain will be worth the effort or money really. It would be good to see before and after dyno runs.
