Hi All,

Its been a long time since ive been on here due to illness and its great to be back. Now this Is embarrassing as Ive worked on these plugs many times over the years. But for the life of me i cant get the plug off the back of my Fuel Filter, Seriously think Ive lost the plot.

Ive removed the bolts and turned the filter upside down and cant believe the struggle im having with this OEM plug.

I Notice there are two sections to the plug and I would suggest that it is the first section (brown) plug that comes out. The pic shows the bottom of the filter and the plug in question

If this button is the black one on the middle bottom of the brown plug then im stuffed cos it wont budge with a small screwdriver or my Hardened scribe.

Can someone please help me out and confirm Im not doing anything wrong.:icon_bonk:7418774188

Tried to Edit but need to recheck how too,

OK UPDATED, PROBLEM SOLVED

The brown plug is not the one required to remove, this is simply for the wiring to attatch to the main plug,

The big black plug is whats required to be removed and there are no pressing or depressing requirements, If you look at the front of the black plug you will notice what I though was a metal spacer or clamp for grip. (my assumption only) This in fact is a metal circlip that holds the plug in place, this circlip needs to be removed from the plug by sliding down as per a normal circlip I will attatch pics of what I was left with and hopefully help someone else out.

Pic 1 shows the plug and what looks like a drain valve, Ill look into this and see if I can attatch a hose and loosen it off next time, It wasnt to much of a mess anyway..

Pic 2 shows the circlip

pic 3 shows where it is located once the plug is connected.
