Loose gearstick

G'day all!
I own a GQ coil cab patrol and my gear stick is really sloppy, feels like neutral in every gear, does'nt slip out of gear just really loose, i have recently replaced both bushes on gear stick but did nothing... any suggestions guys???

One for the more technically minded, but do patrols (like many smaller cars) have retention springs on the lever itself?? If so, could that have snapped?? If it's going into gear fine, staying in gear fine, not grinding etc, then could it still be the gearbox itself??

Yeah mate the GQs have a pretty BIG box from the stick for sure.

I assume that this is the kit you have installed?

The best mod you could do if you cant put up with it and your certain that there is nothing else wrong would be a short shifter kit for it.

Check out the link below for bolt on mod to sort it out. I dont have this but would really like it, other stuff on the list above it though.

Yeah thats the bushes i installed, did'nt make a difference... must be something firther down the track not sure what tho? any help would be good cheers guys!
