Hey guys!
Was doing a service on the patrol over the weekend and after pulling my fuel filter off I noticed that it was covered in soot on one side.
Took some photos, let me know what you think. Easy fix or better to go to a mechanic?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171217/b0a629cbb5f8c133cef23f941fd3a735.jpg http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2017/12/86.jpg
She’s also for sale if anyone is interested send me a msg :)

That to me looks like a EGR pipe that goes onto the intake ? Drivers side? EGR pipe could be leaking or cracked perhaps.

Its a known fact they tend to crack the egr pipe.
normally with a whistling sound that goes away as it warms up
