Is chip tuning possible for gq 1997 2.8TD?

Hi Patrons
I just bought a gq 1997 2.8dt
And would like to make a little more out of it
But was told by a tuning company (exhaust and chips) that I can't chip tune that thing!

Is that true?
If not does anyone someone in Perth who could do it and how much it is?

Thats correct because the pump is mechanical. There is no electronics on that donk apart from the glow plug controller. Don't expect a lot out of that little motor hauling a big barge like the GQ. I know because I used to have one, 1997 GQ 2.8TD
