Hey Guys!
I have encountered a problem with my td42. ( b.t.w. I'm only 17 and im still learning how my car works, etc.)
Soooo...
When i leave my car sitting overnight and go to star it up the next day, it will crank for about 7 seconds with clouds of white smoke coming out of the exhaust. When i turn the car off and go to start it again within a couple of hours it starts normally. The engine runs smooth after it starts.

Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Sounds like fuel pump issues to me Joey.

Either fuel pump getting tired, leaking, timing out or fuel draining away from pump after time perhaps.

Glow Plugs... white smoke is unburnt fuel

Are you letting it glow for an appropriate time before you crank the engine?
If you are then the Plugs or the Relay are probably shot

Might be low compression but I'd check the Glow Plugs first
